Michael Shank

Michael F. Shank, D.O.

Dr. Shank is a graduate of the Devon Preparatory School and St. Joseph’s University where he earned a B.S. in Biology. He graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1980, completed his internship at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital, and finished his residency in Family Practice at Suburban General Hospital. Dr. Shank is board certified in both Family Medicine and Geriatrics. Dr. Shank is the Assistant Medical Director of the Skilled Nursing Facility at Riddle Memorial Hospital, as well as a Professor of Geriatrics and Biomedical Sciences at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He also serves as the Chairman of Family Practice at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Dr. Shank has been named as a Top Doctor in Main Line Today magazine in both Family Medicine and Geriatrics. Dr. Shank cares for his patients in the hospital, office, nursing home, and is one of the few local physicians who sees patients on house calls. He is also available as a speaker for various programs. Dr. Shank is married with two daughters and lives in Thornbury Township.


Joseph Hope

Joseph D. Hope, D.O.

Dr. Hope graduated from West Catholic High School and Villanova University with a B.S. in Biology. In 1993 he graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Hope then went on the complete his residency in Internal Medicine at St. Agnes Medical Center, Germantown Hospital, and City Avenue Hospital. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and serves as Chief of Internal Medicine at Riddle Memorial Hospital. In May 2010, Dr. Hope was elected president of the Riddle Hospital Medical Staff, for a two-year term, leading 618 physicians. Dr. Hope is also the Medical Director at Heartland Hospice and Naamans Creek Nursing Home. Dr. Hope is originally from Southwest Philadelphia and currently resides in Concord Township. He is married with three daughters.


Michele Boornazian

Michele L. Boornazian, D.O.

She received her B.S. degree from Millersville University and master’s degree in nutrition from Penn State University. Dr. Boornazian is a graduate of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her postgraduate training at Memorial Hospital in York, PA and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She is board certified in Family Medicine and Geriatrics, as well as in Palliative Medicine. Dr. Boornazian serves as Hospice Director for Bayada Home Health Care. Dr. Boornazian is a resident of Delaware County.


Armen Sevag

Armen M. Sevag, D.O.

Dr. Sevag joined Rose Tree Medical Associates in 2006. He is a graduate of Devon Preparatory School and received his undergraduate degree from Villanova University. Dr. Sevag earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at the Crozer-Chester Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association. Dr. Sevag is currently the Subdivisional Chief of Internal Medicine and is a member of the Credentialing and Peer Review Committees at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Dr. Sevag was named a Top Doc in Main Line Today Magazine in 2011. He is married and lives in Glen Mills. Dr. Sevag is fluent in Armenian and is a professional musician in his spare time.


Aaron Best

Aaron Best, D.O.

Dr. Best joined Rose Tree Medical Associates in 2009. He earned his undergraduate degree from West Chester University and attended medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Best completed his residency at Abington Memorial Hospital and is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Best is a Physician Leader for Main Line Health’s “Quest Initiative”, an initiative to improve patient care and safety. He also serves as a leader for “Project Red” which is a Main Line Health initiative with the aim of improving the care of patients with Asthma, Pneumonia, and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.


Timothy Patterson

Timothy M. Patterson, D.O.

Dr. Patterson joined Rose Tree Medical Associates in 2010. He is a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College where he earned his BA in Biology. Dr. Patterson also earned a graduate degree in Medical Science from the Boston University School of Medicine. Dr. Patterson attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Lankenau Hospital. He is board certified in internal medicine. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, and the American Osteopathic Association. His research has been featured in Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Patterson is married and has two sons, Carter and Cole. 

Dorothy Jenkins
Dorothy S. Jenkins, M.D.

Dr. Jenkins joined Rose Tree Medical Associates in March of 2012. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Swarthmore College with distinction, Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Jenkins earned her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania and completed her residency at Graduate Hospital, a former affiliate of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Jenkins is board certified in internal medicine. Dr. Jenkins is a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians. She received a Top Doc award from Main Line Today in 2007. Early in her career Dr Jenkins was the Medical Director of a team that established an AIDS Clinic in Chester Pa, and was involved in research with a drug to prevent AIDS wasting. She subsequently received an award from the Delaware County AIDS Network for her work in the field. Later she entered private practice and was the Director of the Physical Diagnosis Course for medical students at Crozer Chester Medical Center. She now focuses her attention on the prevention of disease as well as the treatment of all the diseases included in the field of internal medicine such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, asthma and women’s health issues. Her goal is to provide patients with state of the art medical care in an informative and personal way.



Susan J. Littman

Susan J. Littman, M.D.

Dr. Susan J. Littman earned her B.S. at Cornell University, a M.S. in Molecular Biology at SUNY Albany and then entered medical school graduating from Albany Medical College in Albany, NY. She completed her residency and internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern and a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at Duke University Medical Center and stayed on faculty at Duke for several years before moving to PA. Dr. Littman has been associated with numerous hospitals in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area; including Jefferson Medical College-Thomas and Lankenau Medical Center. She has had extensive leadership, teaching and lecturing experience over the years. She has been PI on more than 16 oncology studies and is an author on numerous peer-reviewed articles and selected abstracts. Dr. Littman is an expert in gastrointestinal malignancies which includes cancers of the pancreas, liver, and biliary tract as well as colorectal, anal, esophageal, gastric and neuroendocrine tumors. She also has considerable expertise in genetic evaluation of tumors and hereditary predisposition to cancer and has served as director of Hereditary Cancer Services and Expert Panels. Dr. Littman has maintained her reputation among patients and colleagues as a caring, compassionate and competent physician. She has been recognized by Doctors of Excellence/Leaders in Healthcare, Leading Physicians of the World, International Association of Healthcare Professionals, National Association of Professional Women, America’s Registry and other groups as a Top Doctor. Most recently she was recognized by Strathmore’s Who’s Who a 2014 Professional of the Year with a special Times Square appearance for her outstanding contributions in the field of Oncology. She has many skills and expertise in internal medicine, care of the elderly patient. When she is not working, her time is occupied with her family as well as gardening and yoga.


Maureen Lubas

Maureen Lubas, C.R.N.P.

Maureen Lubas received her BSN from West Chester University and MSN from Neumann University. She is ANCC certified as an Adult-Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She also has certifications in Wound Care and Rehabilitation. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the Pennsylvania Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine, the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association, the Association of Rehabilitation Nursing, and the National Alliance of Wound Care. In her free time, she enjoys reading, gardening, and traveling. 


Patricia Bankes

Patricia Bankes, C.R.N.P.

Patricia Bankes has more than 15 years of experience as a nurse practitioner in the field of geriatrics. She has worked in hospital, nursing home, and office settings throughout the course of her career. Trish holds Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Nursing and earned her MSN at Temple University. She is board certified by the ANCC and is a member of the National Honor Society for Nursing. Trish has coauthored several articles dealing with issues in geriatric medicine and has presented at the annual meeting of the American Geriatrics Society on multiple occasions. Her current area of interest is geriatric frailty. She lives in Kennett Square with her husband and daughter and spends her leisure time cooking, gardening, and reading.


Kerry Loughran

Kerry Loughran, C.R.N.P.

Kerry Loughran received her BSN from the University of Pennsylvania and her MS from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is ANCC certified as an Adult-Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society. She grew up in Delaware County and currently lives in Philadelphia with her husband. In her free time, she likes rooting for the Phillies and Eagles, reading, and spending time with friends and family.


Donna Fitzgerald

Donna Fitzgerald, C.R.N.P.

Donna Fitzgerald, CRNP, is a Family Nurse Practitioner who is board certified by the ANCC. She completed her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees at Villanova University. Prior to joining Rose Tree Medical, she was an Emergency/Trauma certified nurse. She values a collaborative patient-provider relationship and wishes to optimize the health and well-being of each patient through education and prevention. Donna is an avid dog lover, is married with 3 children, and enjoys traveling to all places near and far.



Karen Smith

Karen Smith, C.R.N.P.

Karen Smith, CRNP, is an AANP board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Karen has many years of nursing experience. She received her BSN from Neumann University and her MSN from Widener University. Karen is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Pennsylvania Coalition of Nurse Practitioners. Her expertise is in Transitions of Care and the Patient Centered Medical Home Model of Care which promotes maximized patient health outcomes. Karen lives in Delaware County with her husband. She has 2 children and 2 labs. She enjoys spending time with her family, boating on the Chesapeake Bay and relaxing at their cabin in the mountains.
